When the House Gets too Quiet

When one lives with a toddler and the house is eerily quiet, one assumes something bad is happening. And in this case, that assumption was spot on. All in a matter of hours, I found her on top of the changing table covering herself in lotion and then again with purple (or purkle as she has coined the word) nail polish all over her toes. She visited the nail salon the day before and decided, "Hey! I can totally paint my own nails!"

Legoland

Loved visiting Legoland with the family! Especially loved watching Avery Kate make a new friend at the SplashPad. He just so happened to be a Lego statue that she kept hugging and kissing over and over again. 🙊

Swim Lessons

This summer was filled with swim lessons! 30 minutes per day for 2 weeks straight. AK wasn't real sure about the class at first, but eventually decided she really liked the class and learned a lot. Miss RyAnn was an amazing instructor! Sweet, fun, loving and strict = just what AK needed.

Straight Hair Don't Care

Avery Kate saw me straightening my hair and decided, "I'd like to give this a try!" She stood very still and kept handing me hair as she twirled in a circle saying, "Here Momma! Here!" Asking me to straighten her hair.
